Serving a dual-purpose role as a versatile Top-of-Rack (ToR) and high-capacity aggregation switch, it provides the deterministic throughput required to bridge high-speed server environments with the network core. By delivering 100G uplink capabilities within a 1RU footprint, it ensures that data-intensive workloads maintain line-rate performance across the entire switching fabric.

Engineered for the rigorous demands of telco access, security, and cloud infrastructure, the IESMGR 10000 is built upon the powerful Marvell Aldrin2 (98DX8548) chipset. To support resource-intensive open-source network platforms, the hardware is equipped with a Marvell Octeon TX2 CN9130 CPU and 8GB of DDR4 memory, providing the computational headroom necessary for the SONiC (Software for Open Networking in the Cloud) or OcNOS operating systems. This vendor-agnostic approach, enabled by the Open Network Install Environment (ONIE), allows network architects to decouple hardware from software, optimizing CapEx and OpEx while avoiding proprietary lock-in.

The technical foundation of the IESMGR 10000 is defined by its high-density port configuration—consisting of sixteen 10G SFP ports and four 100G QSFP28 ports—housed in a compact 1RU form factor. Utilizing an ultra-low-latency cut-through switching architecture, the platform minimizes packet delay for time-sensitive applications. Furthermore, the integration of a Renesas 8A34002E PTP (Precision Time Protocol) hardware component ensures telco-grade synchronization across the network. This robust hardware baseline is designed for maximum business continuity, utilizing full component redundancy to eliminate single points of failure in mission-critical deployments.
