Introduction
The San Telequip IPS S 1050 is an unmanaged Power over Ethernet (PoE) switch purpose-built for industrial applications. Its design philosophy centers on delivering reliable network connectivity in demanding environments where standard commercial networking hardware would fail. Housed in a compact, standard metal shell, the IPS S 1050 is engineered for resilience, durability, and straightforward installation in space-constrained industrial settings.
This switch provides seamless integration into existing industrial networks by adhering to key IEEE standards, including IEEE 802.3 10Base-T and IEEE 8.3u 100Base-TX for Fast Ethernet communications. Its core capability lies in its implementation of Power over Ethernet, complying with IEEE 802.3af/at standards. This allows the switch to not only transmit data but also deliver electrical power over a single Ethernet cable, simplifying the deployment of network devices such as IP cameras, wireless access points, and VoIP phones in locations where power outlets are scarce or impractical.
