Introduction
As a managed industrial Ethernet switch, the IESM S 308- 2F provides a flexible Layer 2 networking solution. It offers various port configurations, including up to eight 10/100Base-T(X) copper ports, which can be combined with up to four 100Base-FX fiber ports or up to two Giga Fiber ports. This allows for seamless integration into diverse network architectures, connecting local devices via copper while leveraging fiber uplinks for long-distance communication.
The series delivers comprehensive management functions essential for modern industrial networks. It supports robust protocols like Port Mirroring for diagnostics, VLAN for network segmentation, IGMP for multicast traffic optimization, QoS for data prioritization, and STP/RSTP for creating redundant network paths.
