Introduction

The GS81 RS232/RS485 Cellular Modem is a compact and reliable communication device designed for industrial and remote monitoring applications. It enables sending, receiving, and reading SMS, and provides internet connectivity to dataloggers and controllers through a serial interface. The modem supports all standard SMS applications used by system integrators, making it ideal for critical alerting and communication in applications such as oil & gas, industrial automation, utilities, and other mission-critical environments.
