Introduction
The San Telequip IPS S 1080 is an 8-port industrial unmanaged PoE switch designed as a higher-density solution for applications that demand more powered device connections. It shares the same robust chassis, wide environmental tolerance, and versatile mounting options as the IPS S 1080 making it an ideal drop-in upgrade for higher-density requirements. It is engineered for easy installation and reliable, long-term operation in challenging industrial environments.
The switch is fully compatible with IEEE 802.3 10Base-T and IEEE 802.3u 100Base-TX Fast Ethernet standards. Critically, all eight of its ports are PoE-enabled and compliant with the IEEE 802.3af/at standards. This expanded capability makes the IPS S 1080 an ideal choice for larger-scale deployments, such as a comprehensive surveillance system or a network of wireless access points across a factory floor, where numerous devices require both data connectivity and power.
