Introduction

The GW IoT G8Q RS485/RS232 Gateway is a cellular IoT communication device designed for seamless data exchange between serial-based field devices using MQTT. Utilizing 4G SIM connectivity, the gateway enables automatic and transparent communication between PLCs, RTUs, dataloggers, slave-master serial devices through a centrally hosted MQTT broker deployed on cloud or static IP infrastructure. The GW IoT G8Q simplifies remote monitoring and control by providing reliable serial-to-cloud-to-serial connectivity, making it ideal for industrial automation, utilities, energy management, and distributed IoT applications.
