Introduction
The GW BMS 05B enables seamless integration of SNMP-based IT and network devices with Ethernet-based Building Management and SCADA systems. It allows facility operators to monitor IT infrastructure through BACnet IP or Modbus TCP using standard IP networks.
By converting SNMP data and traps into BACnet IP or Modbus TCP objects, the GW BMS 05B ensures real-time visibility of alarms and operating parameters within the BMS. This supports centralized monitoring, event logging, and automated responses across IT and facility systems.
Scalability: Upgradeable to 5000 / 10000 points at additional cost
Ethernet Port: 1x 10/100 Ethernet (RJ45)
Serial port included as per standard hardware configuration for the GW BMS 05 series.
Consumption: 100mA @ 24V DC
Mounting: DIN Rail
Relative Humidity: 5-90% RH (non-condensing)
Support Documents
A: The GW BMS 05A Gateway is designed to convert data from the BACnet IP protocol to the Modbus TCP/IP protocol.
A: You need to use an Ethernet switch. Connect all BACnet IP and Modbus TCP/IP devices to the Ethernet switch and then connect the GW BMS 05A LAN port to the same switch.
A: The gateway can be configured through its Web GUI. Using the Web interface, you can:
• Configure the IP address
• Upload or download the CSV file
• Monitor communication status and errors
• Configure input and output protocols (Master/Slave settings) through the CSV file
