Introduction
The SC09FE 10G S+ is a high-performance 10G Media Converter designed to transparently connect 10G Ethernet links over diverse fiber types, including multi-mode, single-mode, and specialized CWDM/DWDM wavelengths. Its primary function is to provide a seamless bridge between copper-based Ethernet devices and a fiber optic backbone, enabling reliable, high-speed data transmission over distances far exceeding the limitations of standard copper cabling.
At its core, the device features one multi-rate RJ45 port with Auto-Negotiation for 10G/5G/2.5G/1G/100/10Base-T speeds and one 10G BASE-X SFP+ slot. This combination provides exceptional versatility. The SFP+ slot is MSA (Multi-Source Agreement) compliant, allowing network administrators to use a wide variety of SFP+ transceivers from different manufacturers. This flexibility enables customized network configurations to achieve extended link distances of up to 80 kilometers.
