As a Layer 3 modular managed rack-mount switch, the IESMGR 4000-4S+ A76R Series delivers a compelling value proposition centered on user-defined configuration. The chassis features three dedicated slots for communication modules, allowing users to create custom combinations of Giga Copper, Giga PoE, and Giga SFP ports. This modularity allows for up to 24 PoE ports with a substantial maximum power budget of 720W, ensuring that the switch can be precisely tailored to current requirements while retaining the flexibility to adapt to future network evolution.
Designed to withstand the harshest environments, the switch features a fanless design and EMC Level 3 protection, guaranteeing reliable operation across an extreme temperature range of -40 to +75°C. Its networking capabilities are equally robust, featuring a redundant self-recovery mechanism of less than 20ms on a full load. Beyond its extensive routing protocol support, the switch incorporates a comprehensive security posture that includes advanced Layer 2 threat mitigation features like DHCP snooping and Dynamic ARP Inspection, as well as enterprise-grade authentication via RADIUS and TACACS+. Compliance with railway application standards (EN50155 / EN50121-4) further underscores its suitability for specialized industrial deployments.
